Again, I was able to relaunch the batch of RSS feeds of news from Africa--plus the related batches of Sudan-, DR Congo-, Somalia-, and Zimbabwe-related feeds--with basic Google News Web Elements and allAfrica Headline Modules. While it is possible that I may still do some tinkering with them, they should otherwise remain in place for the foreseeable future.
Separately, over the past week, I've come across feeds for the new "Bemba Trial" site, the related Victims' Rights Working Group, the possibly new "Ahram Online" daily-news site, the African Orphan Education Fund's blog, Help African Libraries, Tomorrow's Stars' blog, the WildiZe Foundation, Fount of Mercy's various blogs, the University of the Middle East Project, the Institute for OneWorld Health, South Africa's "Nkomazi Voice", the African Dream Academy's blog, Amistad International's blog, World Runners, GRACE Africa, Peace X Peace (which I may have mentioned before), World Links, the International Labor Rights Forum's blog, Seeds for Hope, Project Kesho's blog, the Global Action Foundation's various blogs, Educational Technology and Research International, Circle of Hope International (including its related blogs), the Lam-Tech Foundation, "My African Diaspora", the Global Angels Foundation, the oneVillage Foundation, Dadamac's blogs, and the International Institute for Communication and Development. (Most of these are thanks to GreatNonprofits.)
Updated (originally), on Monday, to note that the government-run Sudan News Agency (SUNA) is--like "Sudan Tribune"--now an official allAfrica content provider; updated (further), on Saturday, to also note feeds for what may be a recently revamped site for the Human Security Research Group (including the separate "Human Security Gateway" content site), and for the International Reporting Project; updated (yet again), on Sunday (5 December), to also note feeds for the Keiskamma Trust's blog, Kidzpositive's blog, and "Digitalized Nigeria"; updated (still further), on Monday (6 December), to also note feeds for South Africa's just-launched "New Age", an apparently revamped site for the American Anti-Slavery Group (which I may have neglected to mention before), Advance Africa, and Afrcn Apprl; updated (even further), on Wednesday (8 December), to also note feeds for Safe Harbor International's blog, Dave McDowell's related blog, and Development Seed--as well as to note both Resolve's upcoming "We Remember" vigil and that the folks at Stop Genocide Now/i-ACT are back in Chad; updated (yet again), on Friday (10 December), to also note the feed for Phil Moore's blog (which I may have overlooked earlier); updated (still further), on Tuesday (14 December), to also note feeds for "Daily Ethiopia", the relaunched/revamped "Afrik News" (which I don't think I've mentioned), and the relaunched/revamped "Africa Is a Country" (which I also don't think I've mentioned)--as well as region-specific feeds for "Oye! Times"; updated (even further), on Friday (17 December), to also note feeds for the recently overhauled AlertNet (which I just stumbled across, even though the changeover occurred at the beginning of the month); updated (possibly for the last time), on Sunday (19 December), to also note that the site for the oil-and-gas-industry publication "Upstream" features region-specific feeds (although the specific feed for Africa is currently listed on the site incorrectly); updated (more likely for the last time), on Monday (20 December), to also note feeds for the Power of Love Foundation, Project Mosquito Net, and Against Malaria; updated ([hopefully] still more likely for the last time), on Tuesday (21 December), to also note feeds for the Kofi Annan Foundation and the ACE Electoral Knowledge Network; updated ([hopefully] even more likely for the last time), on Wednesday (22 December), to also note feeds for the UNICEF-affiliated "Back on Track"; updated ([hopefully] still more likely for the last time), also on Wednesday (22 December), to note feeds for the Women Human Rights Defenders International Coalition (see also its list of member organizations); updated ([hopefully] even more likely for the last time), also on Wednesday (22 December), to go ahead and specifically plug the aforementioned Against Malaria's official list of distribution partners; updated ([hopefully] even more likely for the last time), on Thursday (23 December), to also note feeds for the Mines Advisory Group (which I may have specifically mentioned before) and the "Kampala Dispatch". - EJM
