If you haven't already noticed, "RSS Feeds of News from Africa" has recently been relaunched--as have the similar batches of Sudan-, DR Congo-, Somalia-, and Zimbabwe-related feeds. I may still add batches for another country or two (with Nigeria being the likeliest candidate), but otherwise will probably not add additional feeds for the time being.
Separately, over the past couple of weeks, I've come across feeds for "AfricaUpdates", the "Sudanese Future" blog, Adil Abdalla's blog, the bilingual (Arabic/English) "Sudan Human Rights Web Society" blog, southern Sudan's Confident Children Out of Conflict, Backpack Farm, the Awassa Children's Project's blog, Friends of Lake Turkana's blog, Somalia's QUESTS-MIDA, Connecting Congo/Project Mtandao's blog, Nigeria's Coalition of Democrats for Election Reforms, the Nigerian Guild of Editors, the Kenya Medical Association, "Aidsmap", Global Integrity's blog, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunisation, IntraHealth International, the Wildlife Conservation Society, "Architect Africa", the World Organization for Human Rights USA's blog, the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, the Center for International Private Enterprise's blog, the Global Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS, the Global AIDS Alliance, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, BarCamp Africa, Promote Africa's blog, Children International's "LiftOne", the International Food Policy Research Institute, the Global Climate Network's blog, the Global Oneness Project, the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas, the World Resources Institute (including the related "NextBillion"), the International Union for Conservation of Nature, Family Legacy Missions International, Flying Mission, Zambia Missions' blog, Mumena Missions, the BeeHive School, "Zimbabwe in Pictures", the Zimbabwe Independent Assistance Network, "Swazi Live", and South Africa's Ceasefire Campaign--as well as the Nigeria-news/commentary sites "Elombah", the "African Herald Express", the "Peoples Daily", the "Will", "Huhu Online", and "My Nigeria". (Some of these feeds are via Global Voices, Aid for Africa, AfricaFiles, Mr. Okafor, "Zambian Economist", and recent IRIN/PlusNews, IPS, and VOA stories. On a related note, Drima has been compiling a list of Sudanese bloggers.)
Updated (originally), on Sunday, to also note feeds for Witness's "Hub" (which I don't think I've overtly mentioned before), Village Markets of Africa's blog, the Global Call to Action against Poverty's blog, the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe, and the apparently recently relaunched site for Kenya's "Standard"; updated (further), also on Sunday, to note feeds for the additional Nigerian media outlets the "Street Hawker", Vision FM, and Cool FM; updated (again), on Monday, to also note feeds for the Rainforest Action Network's blog (which I don't think I've specifically mentioned already), the U.S. Department of Defense's Africa Center for Strategic Studies, the Somali Nurses Association of North America, the ODI-affiliated Active Learning Network for Accountability and Performance in Humanitarian Action, and the trilingual (French/English/Spanish) site of France's Institut de Recherche pour le Développement; updated (still further), also on Monday, to note feeds for the Worldwatch Institute; updated (yet again), on Wednesday, to also note feeds for the Uganda Wildlife Society, the related Access Initiative (which, coincidentally, is also affiliated with the aforementioned World Resources Institute), the Global Fund for Women, the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, and the Swaziland Teen Club; updated (possibly one last time), on Saturday (13 February), to also note feeds for "CIVNET" (affiliated with the Center for Civic Education), the UNiTE "Say NO" campaign site (thanks to Refugees International), Botswana's "Voice" (which I may have mentioned before), SANGONeT's "NGO Pulse" (which I may have also mentioned before), the "Senegambia" news site "JollofNews", Projects Abroad, the Lurdes Mutola Foundation (including the related Friends of the Lurdes Muttola Foundation), the Global Campaign for Education, the new "Sudan Sham Elections 2010" campaign site (thanks to Change.org), and the site for Lisa Shannon's "A Thousand Sisters" (thanks to Enough); updated (probably for the last time), on Sunday (14 February), to also note feeds for the bilingual (English/Somali) "Ogaden Online", International Adoption Net's "News and Updates" and "Families" blogs, and the United Nations Foundation (which I may have mentioned before); updated (almost certainly for the last time), also on Sunday (14 February), to note feeds for the "Lesotho Times"; updated (definitely for the last time), also on Sunday (14 February), to note feeds for Global Impact (which I may have mentioned before) and EngenderHealth (which I may have also mentioned before). - EJM
Different observers can disagree on whether two events at different locations occurred simultaneously depending if the observers are in relative motion (see relativity of simultaneity). This theory depends upon the idea of time as an extended thing and has been confirmed by experiment and has given rise to a philosophical viewpoint known as four dimensionalism. However, although the contents of an observation are time-extended, the conceptual observer, being a geometric point at the origin of the light cone, is not extended in time or space.
