Yet Another Update on "RSS Feeds of News from Africa"--Plus Additional Odds 'n' Ends

I still haven't had much time recently to try to resolve the issues that I've been having concerning posting the new, Widgetbox-based widgets that would replace the former batch of RSS feeds of news from Africa; therefore, there are still no changes.  Also, the old widgets of Sudan-, DR Congo-, Somalia-, and Zimbabwe-related feeds were recently not displaying their feeds (see Saturday update, below); however, apart from the previously mentioned Yahoo! News feeds, all of them should still be valid.  (To view each individual feed, click on the orange icon that appears in the top right corner of the widget.)

Separately, since the last update, I've come across feeds for the Persecution Project Foundation (whose site may have been revamped/relaunched recently), Book Wish Foundation, Aid Africa's blog, Bread and Water for Africa's U.S. and French sites, Hope 4 Africa, the Association for Applied Health Education and Development, Youth Action International (thanks to All for Africa), Africa Bridge's blog, the Africa Faith and Justice Network (whose site also may have been revamped/relaunched recently), the African Catholic Association, Medicines for Malaria Venture, Outreach International's blog, Life in Abundance's blog, the Kenya Muslim Youth Alliance, HealthRight International's blog, Health Education and Literacy Providers/Help West Africa, Nigeria's Journalists Against AIDS, Malawi's similar Association for Journalists Against HIV/AIDS, Plant With Purpose's blog (affiliated with Floresta), Zambia's Anti-Voter Apathy Project, the Zambia National AIDS Network, ZimGossip, the Zimbabwe Agricultural Welfare Trust, South Africa's iThemba Labantu, and Afribiz (thanks to allAfrica).  (A couple of these are thanks to Relevant magazine's new "Reject Apathy" section.)  In addition, The Hunger Project's site features country-specific feeds.

Updated originally, on Saturday, both to note that the earlier issues with the old widgets displaying their feeds (mentioned above) have apparently been resolved--and to note feeds for the International Fund for Agricultural Development's blog and Uganda's National Environment Management Authority; updated further, on Sunday, both to note that the feed displays apparently remain normal--and to note feeds for Generation for Change and Growth and Bread and Water for Africa's separate, off-site blog (which I neglected to mention earlier); updated again, also on Sunday, to note feeds for CORD (whose site may also have been revamped/relaunched recently), its related "Toilet Twinning" campaign, and the blog for MOVED (affiliated with the aforementioned Life in Abundance). - EJM

Still Another Update on "RSS Feeds of News from Africa"--Plus Additional Odds 'n' Ends

I still haven't been able to successfully post new, Widgetbox-based widgets to replace what had been the batch of RSS feeds of news from Africa (largely because I haven't had a lot of time recently to pursue it); therefore, there are still no new changes--although the related batches of Sudan-, DR Congo-, Somalia-, and Zimbabwe-related feeds are still (for the most part) functioning.

Separately, since the last update, I've come across feeds for Alex Thurston's "Sahel Blog", WE CARE Solar's blog (thanks to Mr. Kristof), George Ayittey's Radio Free Africa (thanks to Mr. Okafor), "Child Soldier Relief", Sarita Hartz's blog (affiliated with the Zion Project), ASOLATE, Congo Action Now's blog (thanks to Enough), the Wabi Shebelle Development Association, the bilingual (French/English) "Africa for Women's Rights" (affiliated with FIDH), the somewhat-bilingual (Arabic/English) site of Egypt's Hisham Mubarak Law Centre, the somewhat-bilingual (Arabic/English) "Torture in Egypt", the Arid Lands Information Networks' various blogs, "Liberiawebs", Nigeria's National Institute for Freshwater Fisheries Research, Saferworld, ACDI/VOCA, Not for Sale, OptINnow (affiliated with Opportunity International), and Village Care International's primary, Kenya, and Nigeria blogs.  In addition, Search for Common Ground's blog does feature region/country-specific, tag-based feeds.
