Jonathan Spector is a Cambridge, Mass. based pediatrician who went to Darfar with Doctors Without Borders this summer, and worked to restore to health starving children and their parents.
Jonathan's experience is that the effects of this genocide can be reversed, for many of its victims, with care and medical attention, and especially nutrition. Children can be helped back to life.
Above is one of his photos, being examined on his laptop, here in Cambridge. If you have a broadband connection, click on it to see more detail. See before and after photos of the same child--seemingly lost in the first photo, and physically thriving in the second. This and others of Jonathan's photos illustrate the miracle that humanitarian aid can provide to families in Darfur, and the urgent need. I hope to have Jonathan speak at the next Boston Sudanese Peace meetup.
