The UN Security Council has passed a resolution on Sudan insisting that it disarm the militias that have been destroying villages and helping carry out the genocide in Darfur.
The resolution does not include "sanctions" but it does provide for penalties if Sudan does not act.
The vote was unanimous with China and Pakistan obstaining.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am a retired private citizen. I am interested in the African nations. I am researching in History and world affairs. Will you please let me have an email address of someone in an African nation like Sudan, where the turmoil is ongoing. Possibly someone involved in the publication of a neutral newspaper or news magazine. Many thanks.
Kind regards,
Joe Farrugia
